Joanne Hoban

Joanne comes from a varied background having studied History and Politics in UCD studying for a Masters Degree in 2004. Joanne trained with the Firm of Frank Ward and Company qualifying as a Solicitor in 2001 and continued to work in General Practice for a number of years before founding her Practice JC Hoban & Company in January 2005. Joanne has been involved in all areas of general practice from Litigation to Family Law and Probate. She has a very keen interest in Family Law with particular reference to Child Law, Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She also advises older Clients and small and medium sized businesses in relation to their establishment and ongoing legal matters.

Krystian Boino

Krystian obtained his masters degree from University of Wroclaw, Poland in 2003. Between 2003 and 2006 Krystian completed a judge’s apprenticeship in Poland and successfully passed exams which entitle him to apply for judge vacancies in Poland. Krystian is  also a qualified Polish solicitor (Radca Prawny) since January 2007 and fully qualified Irish Solicitor since January 2013. Krystian is the only such lawyer from Poland registered in Ireland having full professional qualifications in both jurisdictions. Krystian has been practicing in Ireland since October 2006 firstly with William Crean & Co Solicitors. Later he joined JC Hoban & Company Solicitors in October 2007 before establishing Hoban Boino Solicitors partnership with Joanne. Krystian advises both Irish and Polish clients. He specializes in personal injury litigation and employment law and also advises clients in wide range of aspects of Polish law regarding wills and property.

Debbie Millar

Debbie Millar has over 12 years experience in the legal sector dealing in all areas. Her workload consists mainly of commercial and residential conveyancing, personal injury, litigation with a special interest in family law. Prior to joining Hoban Boino Debbie has worked in a number of Law Firms and has come highly recommended from each one. Her present role allows for very hands on approach and in the past two years has allowed her to expand her experience in the Litigation sector which she operates with extreme efficiency whilst maintaining a high level of understanding. She has extensive experience in handling Personal Injury, Debt Collection, Enforcement of Foreign Judgments files. Debbie has developed a very professional and workable relationship with her colleagues and Barristers and is an invaluable asset in assisting with Court cases in the District, Circuit and High Court. Her dedicated approach to each and every client facilitates and nurtures a relationship of trust and respect which results in a very productive and successful outcome.

Siobhan Walsh

Siobhan joined the firm in February 2015, having previously worked in legal for ten years. She is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology and in 2008 obtained a Diploma in Legal Studies from the Institute of Commercial Management, London. She has extensive experience in conveyancing and probate. Throughout the years she has dealt with all manner of conveyancing transactions from new builds, second hand homes to dealing with Receivers, acting for Local Authorities and review of title for Auction. She also has vast experience in title rectification and a special interest in complex title review, possessory applications and first registration. Under the supervision of Joanne, deals with the day to day running of sales, purchase and re-mortgages, from initial instruction to completion. With her approach Siobhan ensures that problems are dealt with efficiently which enable matters to complete in a timely manner. In Probate, she has dealt with straight forward executor applications to intestate applications, foreign domicile applications and dealing with wills in a foreign language.

Monika Habrajska

Monika joined our office in August 2012. She is a Polish native and She works for both Irish & Polish clients mainly in the area of personal injuries, litigation and employment law as well as general office administration. Monika attended various training courses including: Fetac Level 5 Office and Clerical Skills, Law Society Professional training for legal secretaries and Legal Practice Procedures with Legal Training Services. She has also recently commenced Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies in Dublin Business School. Monika also looks after the financial side ensuring financial ledgers are properly maintained. With her openness she is always available at the end of the line to assist Clients with any queries they may have.

Trainee Solicitor

Katie Lee

Katie is a Trainee Solicitor and is currently working towards gaining her professional qualifications with the Law Society of Ireland. A Graduate of Dublin City University with a BA in Economics, Politics and Law, she continued her studies at Tilburg University in the Netherlands where she completed an LL.M in Law and Technology focusing on data protection, intellectual property and emerging issues in regulation and ethics. On returning to Ireland in 2016 she gained experience working as a Litigation Legal Secretary for a Dublin based firm dealing primarily with personal injury claims. She then left that role after a year and a half to pursue her Law Society entrance exams prior to joining Hoban Boino in 2018. Katie currently assists in all areas of the firms practice as part of her training but is particularly interested in Litigation and Employment law.

Violeta Chirila

Violeta obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Law from Nicolae Titulescu University of Bucharest in 2016. Main subjects she studied include: Criminal Law, Civil Law, Administrative Law, Family Law, Criminology, Commercial Law, International Trade Law, Employment Law and Legislation, Intellectual Property Law. Violeta joined our office in May 2019. Between 2016 and 2017 Violeta completed a Practical stage and internship at Bucharest Tribunal in Romania. She previously worked in law office in Romania, for two years, as Junior Paralegal. Violeta is a Romanian native and she works for Irish, Polish and Romanian clients in the area of personal injuries, litigation and employment law, but she also handles the general office administration.

Philippa Towers

Philippa holds a Masters Degree in German from University College Dublin and has worked extensively both in Germany and Ireland in both the private, business and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to working in the field of legal support, she has worked under the auspices of the Irish Youth Justice Services, HIQA and the HSE as a Social Care Worker, working with disadvantaged communities, with members of the Travelling Community and within the disability sector. She holds a Certificate in Race and Ethnic Studies from NUI Maynooth and specialist accreditation in neurological care from the Brain Injury Association of America. In 2017, Philippa gained a Certificate in Legal Administration and since then has worked consistently in the fields of corporate law, litigation, conveyancing and family law. As the newest member of staff to Hoban Boino, Philippa has a professional and courteous manner and provides efficient support to the team, to clients and to external professionals alike.
